Forgot a pot or pan on the stove or burned them during the actual cooking
and got a burnt pan or a burnt pot?
It doesn’t matter what the cause is, but there is hope for your pots and pans. So if you’ve been burned in a saucepan or pot, follow our housewife tricks to remove the burnt-in so that your pots and pans are like new again.
Clean with soap:
Boil water with a little soap in the burnt pan on the
stove, then leave the pan with the lid on and wash it afterward. This is how
you get rid of the burnt-on material in the pan.
Clean with baking soda:
Pour some water with baking soda into the burnt pan and let it boil for a few minutes.
Another option is to sprinkle baking soda in the bottom of the pot or pan and then pour in some water and leave it overnight.
Then wash the pot afterward, and it’s like new again.
You can also mix baking soda and hot water in the pot or pan and leave it overnight. The residues usually come off overnight and you can then scrub them off more easily.
For copper pots, you should use coarse salt instead of bicarbonate.
Clean with vinegar:
Boil equal parts of water and vinegar in the burnt pan, then you can wash away the burnt in the pot or pan.
Clean with Coca-Cola:
Boil Coca-Cola (let the entire bottom be covered by soda) for a minute or so and then wash the pot or pan, so you
can remove the burnt.
Remove crack and caramel from your pot
Have you boiled caramel or crack and want to clean your pot? The batter sets easily and it may seem like a difficult task, but it doesn’t have to be!
Do this to remove cracks or caramel from the pan:
Place the saucepan with hot water and preferably a little washing-up liquid in it and let it stand overnight. Then it is usually no problem to get rid of the batter from the pan.
Should it still be difficult, you need to be patient and rinse with really hot water while washing with a dish brush to remove the hardened batter. If you don’t get hot enough water in the tap, you can boil water so that it gets really hot.
